I studied fine art at Middlesex Community College (Middletown, CT) and Central Connecticut State University. Primarily a plein-air painter in watercolor, I also enjoy making relief prints, monoprints and oil paintings. My work has been shown in juried exhibits by the Essex Art Association, the Marlborough Arts Association, Spectrum Gallery and the Middletown Art Guild. In 2008 I was chosen as the October Artist-in-Residence at Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, where one of my paintings is in the Park's permanent collection. Most recently I received the Gantner Award in Any Medium at the May 2019 Essex Art Association exhibit and a best-in-show award at the 77th Annual Connecticut Artists' Exhibit at the Slater Museum in Norwich, CT (February 2021).
